Holiday Hours

Frost Science is open daily, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. You and your loved ones can spend the day exploring the science behind the world around us while creating memories you’ll cherish well into the season.

  • Saturday, December 20 – Tuesday, December 23: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 24 – Thursday, December 25: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, December 26 – Tuesday, December 30: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve): 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 1 (New Year’s Day) – Sunday, January 4: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Holiday Happenings

Science enthusiasts, both young and young-at-heart, are invited to immerse themselves in a vibrant celebration featuring a fusion of winter wonders starting Saturday, December 13. Explore an enticing mix of seasonal scientific spectacles, including captivating live shows and pop-up programs that infuse the spirit of the holidays into the realm of discovery. Don’t forget to check out our special holiday photo ops throughout the museum!

Times and dates vary, so check our daily schedule once you arrive at the museum.

Programming

  • Live Holiday Science Show: Fire and ice go head-to-head in an explosive showdown of extreme science, where jaw-dropping experiments reveal the power of heat and the chill of the cold! Presented daily on the Ocean Gallery stage inside Power of Science.
  • Jingle Bell Journey Passport Program: Earn stamps as you discover the science of the holidays. Pick up your passport at the museum entrance or at the activation station. Then, earn at least three stamps to get a complimentary holiday gift at the Science Store
  • Santa and Elf Aquarium Dives: Santa and their elf helper will be making a splash as they dive in our Gulf Stream Aquarium exhibit throughout the season. If you’ve been nice this year, you may be able to spot them! This experience takes place at 1 p.m. on the dates listed below (subject to change, check the onsite schedule to confirm timings):
    • Friday, December 19 – Sunday, December 21
    • Friday, December 26 – Sunday, December 28
    • Friday, January 2 – Sunday, January 4
