To help ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all guests, please review the following museum policies before your visit to the Frost Science.

Attire

Frost Science is a family-friendly destination. Proper attire, including shirts and shoes, is required at all times.

Clothing displaying profane, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate language or imagery is prohibited. Museum staff reserve the right to determine appropriate attire and may ask guests to change, cover inappropriate items, or leave museum property.

For the best experience, comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as guests typically spend several hours exploring the museum.

Bag Policy

All bags and purses must be smaller than 14” x 12”. Complimentary bag storage is available for larger bags. Medical and infant bags are permitted.

Suitcases, backpacks, and duffel bags must be stored upon entry with a Guest Experience Ambassador. All bags are subject to inspection by museum security staff.

Safety & Guest Conduct

To maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors, guests are expected to behave respectfully toward museum staff, fellow visitors, animals, and exhibitions.

The following behaviors are prohibited:

  • Running, roughhousing, or disruptive behavior
  • Harassment or threatening conduct
  • Playing amplified music
  • Smoking, vaping, or use of e-cigarettes
  • Entering restricted areas
  • Touching exhibits or aquarium habitats unless specifically permitted

Guests who fail to follow museum policies may be asked to leave without refund.

Photography & Videography

Photography and videography for personal, non-commercial use is permitted during museum visits. Guests are welcome to use handheld cameras and mobile devices for casual photography and are encouraged to share their experience by tagging @frostscience on Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok. Please note that certain objects or areas may not be photographed, as indicated by posted signage.

Professional or organized photoshoots, including portrait, branding, influencer, media, corporate, event, or client photography sessions, require prior written approval from the museum and payment of applicable photography fees.

Tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, drones, lighting, backdrops, wardrobe changes, flash photography, and other professional photography or videography equipment are not permitted without advance authorization. Photography activity may not obstruct pathways, disrupt museum operations, interfere with other guests, or restrict access to exhibitions. The museum reserves the right to limit or end any photography activity at its discretion.

To inquire about professional photography sessions or photoshoot fees, please contact events@frostscience.org at least 48 hours prior to your requested visit date. For media or other photography and filming requests, please contact pr@frostscience.org. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.

Photography and Videography in Progress

By entering museum premises, guests consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional, educational, archival, editorial, or marketing purposes by Frost Science and its authorized representatives. These materials may be used in print, digital, social media, broadcast, and other media formats without compensation or additional approval.

Prohibited Items

For the safety of our guests, staff, and animals, the following items are not permitted inside the museum:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Illegal drugs
  • Alcohol not purchased onsite
  • Balloons
  • Scooters, skateboards, and wheel-heeled shoes
  • Laser pointers
  • Drones
  • Pets (excluding service animals)
  • Selfie sticks
  • Tripods and monopods
  • Professional photography/videography equipment without approval

Additional items may be prohibited at the discretion of museum staff or security personnel.

Accessibility & Service Animals

Frost Science welcomes service animals trained to assist guests with disabilities. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.

Food & Beverage

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the museum.

Food and beverage from Coffee@Science is restricted in most of the museum halls and exhibits. We appreciate your help in preserving our exhibitions and the museum.

Children & Supervision

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times during their visit. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children follow museum policies and safety guidelines.

Use of Your Information

Information collected through ticket purchases, reservations, memberships, event registrations, newsletter sign-ups, surveys, and other interactions with Frost Science may be used to provide important museum updates and inform you about exhibitions, programs, events, promotions, membership opportunities, and visitor feedback initiatives.

Frost Science does not sell your personal information to third parties. Guests may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in email communications.
