Learn about the filmmaking process through hands-on activities inspired by some of Pixar’s most treasured films, from Finding Nemo to Toy Story.
Come explore the wonders of your favorite animated films with our new special exhibition, The Science Behind Pixar, during an exclusive members-only evening on Friday, October 9, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Enjoy a unique look into the Pixar process, and explore the science and technology behind some of the most beloved animated films and their characters. This interactive exhibition showcases the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts used by the artists and computer scientists who help bring Pixar’s award-winning films to the big screen.

Guests will enjoy early access to The Science Behind Pixar in a private setting on our Level 5 outdoor terrace, featuring complimentary food and drinks, special interactive programming, complimentary parking vouchers, and a more intimate way to engage with the exhibition before the museum opens for the general member preview.

- Parking is available in the museum garage for an $8 flat rate with validation starting at 6:00 p.m.
- All cars must exit the garage by 12 a.m. Member parking discounts do not apply.
- Event check-in begins at 7:00 p.m. at the main entrance. Please have your membership card and photo ID ready.
Members must be logged into their accounts to reserve tickets. Admission to the Members-Only Preview is free and only open to members and their guests (accounts with guest privileges will be allowed the appropriate number of guests to accompany the member) on a first-come, first-served basis. All members must have a valid membership card and show a photo ID upon entrance. Only those listed on the membership account will be permitted into the event. The museum closes to the public at 6:00 p.m.
