First joining Frost Science during her sophomore year of college in 2008, Mauricia Vasquez initially worked with the visitor services staff responsible for the museum store and box office. Since then she has advanced through several departments, including finance, group sales, public programs, communications, and wildlife. Now with the education team, Vasquez works with Upward Bound students, helping them assess their college and scholarship options, setting up group travel to various campuses, and managing day-to-day logistics for Upward Bound’s six-week marine science summer program. Born and raised in Miami, Vasquez holds a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry with a minor in education from Florida International University.
