Fusing cutting-edge VR with motion-based seating, this unforgettable journey puts you at the center of the action—whether you’re plunging into the ocean depths, traveling through time, or soaring across the cosmos. You’ll feel every twist, turn, and thrill thanks to motion-enhanced seating and 360-degree visuals that make each moment come alive.
VR Experience Details
- A variety of short films to choose from, including ocean exploration, space travel, and dinosaur encounters (selection to be confirmed onsite)

This is a paid, add-on experience. VR Experience tickets are available:
- Online when purchasing museum admission
- Onsite at the Ticket Center, self-service kiosks, or directly at the VR Experience
- Available daily. Last seating is 30 minutes before closing.
- On Level 1, next to the Frost Planetarium.
To manage capacity, tickets are sold in 30-minute booking windows. You may purchase your ticket and enjoy the museum while waiting for your VR experience slot—our team will help manage the flow and guide you through the process.
- $10 per guest (Members save on tickets during the opening month of August 2025)
- Guests under 13 must be accompanied by an adult
- VR content varies and runs approximately 6 minutes
- Guests must be at least 35” tall to ride
- Some films may contain intense motion or visual effects. If you are prone to motion sickness or have certain medical conditions, please consult with staff before riding
