During the 2023 – 2024 academic year, Frost Science is providing opportunities for Title I schools to visit the museum and participate in Learning Labs at no cost.

FREE Title I Field Trips (all grades)

All Title I schools in Miami-Dade County may apply for a free field trip to the museum.*

Power of Hydration Learning Lab for Title I Schools

New opportunity for the 2023-2024 school year!

Title 1 middle schools are invited to participate in our new Power of Hydration Learning Lab. Classes will receive transportation to Frost Science*, field trip admission and a Power of Hydration Learning Lab at no cost.

Through this Learning Lab, students will discover what their bodies need to be healthy through an investigation of hydration and human anatomy. They will also answer questions about how the food and drinks they consume influence the ways their bodies function.

Receive Your School’s STEM Designation with Us!

Title I teachers and students will dive into science with Frost Science during the 2023-2024 academic year. Through continuous engagement with the museum, 3rd-5th grade classes will receive Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDPCS) STEM designation and participate in meaningful science experiences.

Engagements

These engagements will be completed throughout the 2023-2024 academic year and will result in MDCPS STEM designation for participating schools.

Field Trip to Frost Science (all-inclusive)
Each school will receive a field trip to the museum for up to 47, 3rd-5th grade students. The field trip will include:

  1. Bus costs
  2. A Learning Lab
  3. Access to all museum exhibitions

Teacher Professional Development

All teachers part of the Frost Science STEM Designation program will participate in a professional development workshop at the museum, where they will learn about current science and be given access to two standards-aligned lesson plans to use in their classrooms.

Meet the Museum Scientist (virtual)

This opportunity will connect students and teachers to experts in various science disciplines at the museum. Students will learn about careers in STEM and ask questions about marine science, astronomy, paleontology or tropical ecology. Schools will have two of these engagements.
