Inspired by this year’s global Earth Day event theme, “Our Power, Our Planet”, Frost Science’s annual Earth Day celebration brings together scientists, universities, and community organizations for hands-on activities that explore the forces shaping our planet and the choices shaping its future, plus a special performance by the inspiring Cateura Recycled Orchestra. Learn how innovation, collaboration, and individual action all contribute to protecting Earth, and discover the power we each have to make a difference!

Event Details

Experience the inspiring Cateura Recycled Orchestra, a globally celebrated ensemble from a landfill community in Asunción, Paraguay, where young musicians perform on instruments made entirely from recycled materials. Founded by environmental engineer Favio Chávez, the orchestra transforms discarded objects into powerful expressions of creativity and hope.

Their performance, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Atrium, blends classical and Latin American sounds in a powerful celebration of resilience and community.
