Do you have old devices sitting around your house collecting dust? Did you know these devices contain valuable materials like precious metals that can be recycled? Bring them to us and we will extend your membership! We will be collecting electronic waste (e-waste) during Technology and Engineering Day to help keep our environment clean and healthy. This is a great way to de-clutter your house and do right by the planet.
A membership associate will be in the museum’s Main Atrium from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to receive your devices. Membership extension will vary depending on item size: Small devices like smartphones will earn you one month, medium devices such as DVD players or laptops will earn two months, and large devices like printers will get you three months. Please read the EPA recommendations before bringing in your technology to safeguard your personal information and ensure we can accept your devices.
A maximum of three-month extension will be given regardless of how many devices you donate. Please see below for a list of accepted devices.
