About the Grand Opening
Thank you for your interest in the grand opening weekend for the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. The museum is scheduled to open to the public on Monday, May 8 in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park. From our state-of-the-art Frost Planetarium featuring one of only thirteen 8K projectors in the world to our vast three-level Aquarium, Frost Science will be one of the most dynamic and sophisticated science museums around the globe. Frost Science is more than a building. It is the embodiment of curiosity, investigation and an enthusiasm for knowledge that will inspire generations to come.
This page will be a resource for updated information on the Frost Science grand opening weekend, special events, FAQs and general resources. Schedule at a Glance
To avoid long lines and sellouts, guests are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online. One Total Experience ticket includes access to all museum exhibitions, aquarium and your choice of one Frost Planetarium show.

Experience the museum before the public as a Frost Science Member on Sunday, May 7. A membership is the best way to explore Frost Science with free admission year-round, numerous member benefits and a diverse array of members-only programs, events and previews.
Large crowds are expected for the Frost Science grand opening and wait times at the onsite Ticket Center can be long. Buy your tickets online and avoid lines. Please give extra consideration for arrival time and parking. Save time and money by taking the FREE Metromover. We recommend using the Metromover to get to us by getting off at the Museum Park station (1191 Biscayne Blvd.), steps away from the museum.
