Before You Arrive

  • Buy online and save. To ensure proper social distancing, admission will be limited and we recommend you purchase an Explorer ticket online in advance to save time and money. Once purchased, simply show your print-at-home ticket(s) at the point of entry to be scanned and gain access to the museum. Don’t have a printer? Not a problem! Use your mobile device to access tickets and gain entry to the museum.
  • Become a member. Buy a membership online and enjoy free admission for one full year from the date of your purchase. All memberships include complimentary admission and ONE FREE Frost Planetarium show per visit. Access your personal account to schedule a visit. Frost Planetarium show tickets can be reserved onsite on the day of your visit
    and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Arrive early. We open daily at 10:00 a.m., 365 days a year. Visit in the morning when there are less people in the museum.
  • Check the weather. Miami’s weather can be unpredictable at times, especially in the summer. Be sure to check the daily forecast and come prepared for occasional rain storms. Our rooftop terraces and the ‘Vista’ level of the Aquarium are exposed to the elements. Sunscreen is highly recommended.
  • Preview exhibitions online. Explore our museum map and find out more about our exhibitions and what you’d like to experience before you get here. There’s a lot to see!

Getting Here

  • Save time and money on parking by taking the FREE Metromover! Parking in Downtown Miami might be limited during peak times. We recommend using the Metromover to get to us by getting off at the Museum Park station (1191 Biscayne Blvd.), steps away from the museum.
  • Take the Brightline high-speed-rail express train to Frost Science. Hop on at Brightline’s Aventura, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or Orlando stations and enjoy the ride into the MiamiCentral Brightline station.
  • Go green! For your convenience, bike racks are available throughout Museum Park and in our parking garage. There is also a CitiBike station in Museum Park.

What to Know

  • Frost Science is open daily, 365 days a year. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Please refer to our website at frostscience.org regarding special hours, any changes in schedule or closure information.
  • At Frost Science, we are committed to ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all guests, including children. There may be a lot of distractions for the little ones from the time you enter to the time you’re ready to explore. You can always count on one of our guest ambassadors to find the best way to reunite separated parties. In the event you lose a child or member of your party, please alert the nearest employee and we will jump into action! Upon arrival, look for our guest ambassadors and security personnel in uniform and point them out to your child. Our team is trained to assist you in this and all emergency situations.
  • At Frost Science, we are committed to making every experience accessible to all guests. Please visit our Accessibility page to find out more.
  • If we experience inclement weather in the area, don’t panic! We’ve got you covered. We will work as a team to make sure everyone is safe and secure. Some exhibitions may need to close for the safety of our animals and visitors. Our team will update you when an exhibition is safe to reenter.
  • Bringing a bag or purse?All bags or purses must be smaller than 14″x 12″. If your bag exceeds these dimensions, complimentary bag storage is available. Medical and infant bags will be permitted. Suitcases, backpacks, and duffle bags must be stored upon entry with a Guest Experience Ambassador, and all bags will be held until departure. Exceptions will be made for small bags or purses smaller than 14″x12″. For expedited entry into the museum, we encourage large groups not to bring a bag.
  • Our security officers reserve the right to review bags upon entry and prohibit bags that may damage the exhibits or compromise security. Please note that all personal items are the sole responsibility of the owner. Staff are not responsible for unattended bags or belongings.
  • Prohibited Items: At Frost Science, the safety of our guests, employees and animals are our top priority. To ensure a fun and safe visit for all, the following items are not permitted in the museum:

E-cigarettes
Illegal drugs
Alcohol
Balloons
Scooters, skateboards, wheel-heeled sneakers
Weapons of any kind
Laser pointers
Tripods, monopods, drones and professional photography and videography equipment (with prior written approval from the marketing department. Contact news@frostscience.org.)

  • Visitors are required to wear proper attire (as determined by museum personnel in their sole discretion) while on the museum property. For health and safety reasons, shirts and shoes are required at all times, including inside the Science Store and Food@Science café. Display of profane, obscene or injurious language, texts or graphics for public view is prohibited. Guests displaying such language on clothing will be asked to either change the garment or otherwise cover the offensive image/language or leave the museum property.
  • We are aware of the needs for a mother to have a private and quiet place to nurse. Nursing mothers can use our convenient, comfortable, and private breastfeeding pod made by Mamava. Our pod is well-lit and spacious with two benches, a shelf, an electrical outlet, and a USB port. To access the pod, please contact Guest Services or any member of our staff.

Tickets are valid for the date of purchase only. You may apply the cost of admission to a Frost Science membership within ten days after purchase. For more information, visit the Membership FAQ page.
We accept cash and all major credit cards and debit cards as forms of payment.
Absolutely! Your admission ticket is valid all day for the date purchased and you will receive a wristband.
If you take advantage of all our exhibitions, you can spend up to three to four hours exploring the museum. There’s a lot to see and do at Frost Science!
First responders, active US military and veterans with proper identification receive free general admission to the museum. Seniors (62+) with proper identification receive a $5 discount on Explorer Tickets. To redeem, please visit the Membership Priority Window at the Ticket Center.
There are multiple parking options around Frost Science. Limited paid self-parking is available in the museum garage during regular museum hours. We encourage you to consider public transportation, including the FREE Miami-Dade Metromover. To explore all parking options, visit frostscience.org/planyourday.
Yes, feel free to take lots of pictures and use #FrostScience on your social media posts! For the safety of all guests, please leave selfie sticks, monopods, drones, and tripods at home. Please turn off your flash when taking photographs. You’ll get better photos with the flash off and our animals and other guests will appreciate it! If you have questions about portrait, corporate or event photography, please contact events@frostscience.org. Professional photography and videography equipment cannot be used without prior written approval. Please contact news@frostscience.org with your request.

Yes, standard manual wheelchairs are available upon request at either the Ticket Center or at the main entrance ticket booth in the Main Atrium. Visitors must leave a valid driver’s license or photo ID for use of the wheelchair.
We do not have strollers to rent or borrow, but you may bring your own. Some exhibitions may prohibit the entry of strollers, but we will have a spot to park them if necessary.
Apart from service animals, for the safety of our animal residents, pets are not allowed in the building.
