December 15: Winter Wonderland

Make your December a little cooler by joining us at Frost Science for our 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland. Explore how colder temperatures impact states of matter in our Let It Snow live show, when we use liquid nitrogen, at a frosty -321F°, to freeze everyday objects and explore what happens to them. Then explore snowflakes under a microscope as you discover the role math plays in nature before visiting our A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature exhibition.

Next, get excited about electrical circuitry with a fun challenge that incorporates both holiday lights and science myths about batteries, from lemons to potatoes! Lastly, before dark join us as we explore the importance of the North Star for navigation, and show you how to find it in the night sky.
