Join MUVE (Museum Volunteers for the Environment) and FIU’s School of Environment, Arts and Society as we plant native wetland vegetation at our new Batchelor Environmental Center restoration site, located on the banks of the Oleta River in North Miami. As the site will soon host our animal hospital we are creating a buffer of native habitats for the re-release of injured birds of prey into the wild. All tools and gloves will be provided. RSVP here to join us.
- From Biscayne Blvd., head east on NE 151st St. and follow the road around until you reach the FIU Biscayne Bay Campus entrance. Turn left into FIU BBC and stay to the north side of the campus buildings. Once you arrive at the provided address, you will be directed to available parking. If you have any issue finding the site, or have any questions, please feel free to call Alexandra Puritz. (703-785-0604)
