For the past few years Frost Science has partnered with Nature Links, a community-based organization that works with young adults with intellectual disabilities, equipping them with the job readiness and independent living skills they need to lead fulfilling, productive lives. Frost Science makes the museum available as a safe and welcoming science-rich venue for participants to meet up every day, engage with our staff, explore and discover. Our educators have worked with Nature Links staff to adapt some of our science curriculum for use throughout the museum, including in our computer lab. The young adults have also served as a valuable focus group for prototyping exhibits and programs for our new museum, helping us ensure that our offerings are inclusive and accessible.
